Aladdin Records
LAでレコード店 Philo を経営していた Edward と Leo Menser 兄弟は 1942〜1946年に Philo レーベルで、その後 1945年以降 Aladdin レーベルから 1961年頃まで主に R &B を製作・発売していた。
Decca が契約更新しなかった Billie は約1年間、メジャー・レーベルから契約の話は無く、どこからもレコーディングはなかった。しかたなく LA の Aladdin と契約した。
